How does myotherapy work?
Using modalities such as massage, dry needling, joint mobilisation, exercise and stretching your myotherapist will work with you to determine the best course of action to manage your injury and can provide you with ongoing support of chronic conditions.
Your initial consultation will be for an hour in which your myotherapist will take a full medical history, assess your condition or injury, use hands-on therapy to treat you and provide you with exercises and stretches to aid in your recovery. We will also help identify behaviours that may be contributing to your condition, such as overtraining or poor posture and develop a pain management plan to offer relief for issues that cannot be solved by lifestyle changes.
We will discuss your current and previous injuries, conditions and pain. Outline what can be expected during and after a myotherapy session. Together we will form a treatment plan that best suits your needs.
